Psychologist position. 1[Under the general direction of the Supervising Psychologist and the Chief Deputy Juvenile Officer of the Special Services Department. Must be able to perform crisis intervention, follow-up counseling and consultation to Detention and Court staff, often with little notice. Must be able to independently perform and write up full battery psycho-diagnostic evaluations, with supervision and training as needed and/or required by law. Must be able to perform psychotherapy with individuals, and families; some latitude and discretion given for particular diagnostic instruments and treatment modalities used. May supervise Interns and Practicum students, and other unit employees, when appropriate. Requires performing regular duties in a secure institutional setting subject to constant video surveillance for purposes of security and the welfare of the detained youth. This position is funded by the St. Louis Mental Health Board of Trustees.

Requirements: Must possess a Doctorate Degree (i.e., Ph.D.; Psy.D.) in Psychology. It is preferred that the internship and/or professional training and/or work experience include work with adolescents and children. Must be licensed or license eligible in the State of Missouri as a Psychologist.

Salary: $55,504 – $85,876 – Includes Full Benefit Package
