Training Opportunities: The Lafayette outpatient office has an open position for a psychologist to work with a small city population, do intake assessments and therapy, and supervise Master’s level and bachelor level clinicians, and do limited psych testing.
Wabash Valley Alliance (WVA) will provide psychologist supervision for a new graduate until able to apply for an HSPP endorsement (independent practice license, after approximately one year of supervised full-time practice).
WVA is a participant in the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program. Licensed providers are eligible to apply for this generous loan repayment program.
WVA also is a member of the National Psychology Training Consortium APA-accredited internship.

Purdue’s doctoral programs in clinical and counseling psychology place graduate students in practicums with Wabash Valley Alliance psychologists. Lafayette is a prosperous community with a low cost of living and good spousal employment opportunities with Purdue, Indiana University Health, Subaru, General Electric, Caterpillar, Wabash National, and other employers. Lafayette and West Lafayette are about an hour’s drive northwest of the state capital, Indianapolis.
Requirements: Applicants must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program and an APA or APPIC-accredited internship, and must be eligible to be licensed in Indiana as a psychologist.
Reimbursement: Salary starts at $52,800 for a new graduate and higher for an experienced psychologist. A psychologist receives an automatic salary increase upon achievement of the HSPP endorsement.
