C.5.d.23 – Quarterly Site Feedback Forms

Frequency

Psychology interns will complete four Quarterly Site Feedback forms about their experiences at their sites throughout the year in the areas of site support, communication, training and the nine APA Profession-Wide Competencies.

Minimum Levels of Achievement

Site goals are to maintain an average score of 3 (Average) or higher in each of the following domains throughout the year:

Site On-boarding and Orientation (first quarter only)

Site Support

Communication

Training

APA Profession-Wide Competencies

Professional Development (fourth quarter only)

In the fourth quarter, interns will additionally provide feedback to NPTC in the area of Professional Development and Support. It is the goal of NPTC to receive average scores of 3 (Average) or higher in each of the questions within the domain.

Process and Outcomes

Forms are filled out by the interns via webform each quarter. Sites Training Directors and Regional Training Directors are provided with a report of the aggregated feedback for the site for review and discussion. If NPTC has any concerns with the feedback from the forms, they reserve the right to request in-person meetings with the intern and/or site Training Director if necessary. If there are significant concerns at the site, the Regional Training Director may request written plans for site performance improvement following the meeting with the Training Director. Copies of any formal response or performance improvement plans are sent to the Executive Training Office and placed in the site member’s file.

In the feedback forms, interns have the option to request in-person meetings with any member of the NPTC Executive Staff and to redact certain parts of their responses from the report given to site Training Directors for review. If an intern requests a formal in-person meeting to discuss concerns at any point in the year, the Regional Training Director will schedule a meeting with the intern and/or site Training Director as appropriate. Additionally, the Regional Training Director will conduct meetings with the site Training Directors each year following the submission of the first site visit reports. New Member sites, new external locations, or Member sites returning from Inactive status will always have meetings on-site for their first year. For all other members, these meetings will be conducted on-site every three years and via phone or video the other two years unless an on-site meeting has been requested. All site visits will be scheduled with input from the site Training Director, supervisors, and/or interns to arrive at a mutually convenient time as applicable.
