D.02.24 – Site Training Director Responsibilities

All members must have a licensed psychologist on site (or at one site) at least 20 hours per week who serves as the Site Training Director. In this role, the Site Training Director is responsible for all training activities at the site level, oversight of intern performance/evaluations at the site, and responsible for remediating any training issues that may arise. Site Training Directors are also responsible for the site’s compliance with responsibilities as laid out in the Administrative Responsibilities section of this manual.

In the event that the current Site Training Director is either no longer employed by the site or can no longer function as a site training director, a replacement must be found as soon as possible to provide continuity of training. At least two weeks prior to the change, the new Site Training Director will participate in a meeting with the Vice President of Operations and/or the Sr. Vice President of Clinical Operations in order to discuss their roles and responsibility with regard to the internship process. If the individual was not previously listed as a supervisor for the site, then the individual will be required to also complete the supervisor training requirements listed in the Supervisor Addition or Replacement Policy section of this manual. If for some reason continuity of training cannot be provided, NPTC reserves the right to remove the intern from the site without any cost reimbursement and place them temporarily in another site until training and supervision can return to normal.
